Prior to the work being carried out, it was established that the Pods were formed using a timber frame construction. An aluminium cladding had then been applied.
Our task was to strip the cladding back to the existing timber frame. Any rotten timbers were then removed and new timbers were spliced in.
We then treated the timber frame prior to installing a 18mm exterior grade plywood sheathing. The application of a 60mm Phenolic external wall insulation system with Silicone K1.5 finish then took place.
Whilst carrying out the foregoing we also removed and replace the existing balcony railings with new, bespoke, purpose-made railings.
